2026 Summer Lessons

our Summer Lessons!

Queens United is excited to announce the start of our 2026 Summer Lessons Session!! 

These lessons are for 2nd-5th grade students and will be held online via Google Meet and ChessKid, starting the week of June 14th . Queens United instructors will cover a weekly chess piece or topic in each lesson. Register ASAP to confirm your spot (returning and new students), as lessons are in high demand and we have limited capacity. (Insert bitly link)


Details:

  • Who: Returning students or 2nd-5th grade new students

  • What: Online chess lessons (Private and group lessons!) Lessons will be conducted via Google Meet and ChessKid. Day/times coordinated between instructor/parents via email.

  • When: Starting the week of June 14th

  • Chess Experience Level: 

    • Beginner group lessons (no prior chess experience) 

    • Intermediate group lessons (Little understanding of pieces, some prior experience, minimal tournament play)

    • Please note, if your child is a regular competitive chess player and/or has more experience with tournament play, these might not be the right lessons for your child

  • Price: Our lessons are free

2026 Summer Lessons

What are our lessons?

We are offering free introductory chess lessons for elementary students! The lessons are led by a member of our Ambassador Team and occur on a weekly basis for 1 hour via Google Meet, with the date/time coordinated via email. Students will be taught individually or in groups, and we use ChessKid as the primary platform and curriculum.

Note: Limited capacity.

  • Who: K-5th grade students

  • What: Online chess lessons (Private and/or Group)

    • Lessons will be conducted via Google Meet and ChessKid

    • Day/times coordinated between instructor/parents via email.

  • When: Starting the week of January 12th (Winter Session)

  • Chess Experience Level: 

    • Beginner private/group lessons (no prior chess experience) 

    • Intermediate private/group lessons (Little understanding of pieces, some prior experience, minimal tournament play)

    • Please note, if your student is a regular competitive chess player and/or has more experience with tournament play, these might not be the right lessons for your student.

  • Price: Our lessons are free
